Updated: Jan 21, 2023

So, you have a new business, but no customers.  Where should you begin? This video will provide 10 list building tactics to help grow your contact list.

1. EMAIL SIGNATURE

Promote your website address, social media or blog each time an email is sent.

If you send multiple emails per day, the recipients will most likely click on the links to view additional information.

2. JOIN FACEBOOK GROUPS

Find Facebook groups that are relative to your topic or niche. Offer valuable content, share strategies and tips. You can also offer to help others inside the group.

In the comments, kindly leave a link where the members can learn more information.

3. POST ON YOUR FACEBOOK FEED

Post much? Most people already have hundreds or maybe thousands of Facebook friends…

Create a post about your topic or service.  Ask your friends to comment if they are interested, then manually follow up with them via phone call, email or messenger.

4. INSTAGRAM

Create a post on Instagram. Invite people to DM you their email address to join your mailing list.

If you have a business account or 10k+ followers, you can add a link to your lead magnet directly in your stories.

5. WEBSITE POP UP

Add a pop up that appears after a guest has spent a certain amount of time on your website.

You can offer a discount on a product or even prompt the guest to subscribe to your mailing list. Use tools like Sumo.com or OptinMonster to generate the pop up

6. LOCAL MEET UP GROUPS

Visit www.meetup.com to browse hundreds of potential meet up groups in your area.

Bring value to the group by potentially hosting or speaking at a meet up.

Build relationships while collecting email addresses and contact information.

7. GUEST POST

There are many publications in your target niche that are hungry for information.

Pitch the editors to see if you can contribute a guest article for free.

In return, you have the permission to embed a lead magnet to the bottom of your article.

8. INFLUENCERS

Reach out to specific influencers in your target market.

Suggest a potential collaboration provided that you offer a percentage of course sales or leads that they provide.

Working with influencers will definitely broaden your reach.

9. INTERVIEW EXPERTS

Host interviews with subject matter experts for your topic or course.

Building a relationship with the experts will make them more likely to promote your product.  Especially if you offer an affiliate commission for conversions.

10. EMAIL AUTORESPONDER

Set up an autoresponder that tells people that you will eventually reply to their email, while linking to a list of resources that they might find helpful.

Add your best lead magnets to get them on your list.

Leave a comment to let us know which method worked best for your business!

Happy Wig Making!
